As part of the expedition, SOI’s Media Team will be documenting daily activities—discussions, workshops, hikes, landings, and educational sessions—through photo and video. You may be invited to appear on camera for a short interview or to share your expertise as a subject matter expert. This is an opportunity to speak to SOI’s wider global audience and help the public better understand your field of interest and how it connects to the extraordinary places we’ll be visiting.
Your voice adds depth, context, and richness to the expedition story—both for the youth onboard and for communities around the world who will follow along.
As an educator on this expedition, you play a key role in helping youth make meaning from their experiences. Beyond supporting daily programming, we encourage you to actively facilitate moments of reflection—whether that’s through group conversations, journaling prompts, informal check-ins, or connecting what youth observe on the land and water to broader themes of culture, community, climate, and leadership. Your guidance helps young people transform powerful moments into lasting understanding and actionable insight.
SOI will make all images and videos captured during the expedition available to educators and partner organizations for use in research, reporting, outreach, and marketing. Once the journey concludes and the media archive is organized, you’ll receive access to a curated library of high-quality photos and footage that document the program, the landscapes and communities we visit, and the learning experiences on board. We encourage you to use this material to support your work, amplify the expedition’s impact, and share the story of this journey with your own audiences.
