In Memory of Patrick Shaw
1963 – 2026

The Pat Shaw Memorial Scholarship has been established to support the participation of youth from around the world on educational expeditions to the polar regions with the Students on Ice (SOI) Foundation.  Pat was instrumental in helping the very first SOI expedition set sail, and he was a trusted advisor and great friend of SOI over the past 25 years.

The Pat Shaw Memorial Scholarship will share his passion for education and the polar regions by inspiring future young leaders for years to come.

In order for Pat’s scholarship to continue in perpetuity, the fundraising goal is $250,000, which will be kept in an endowment with the Community Foundations of Canada.

Every contribution matters. Generous gifts at all levels will help to reach or exceed this goal in Pat’s honour.
