It is now possible to submit applications to join the next cohort of the Youth Council on Environment and Climate Change (YECC)! The Council provides young people with the opportunity to make their voices heard on environmental and climate issues.
The Council will be made up of a maximum of 12 young people in Canada. For a two-year mandate, they will provide non-partisan advice on environmental and climate issues to the Minister of Environment and Climate Change and senior officials of Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC). People from all regions, backgrounds and experiences are encouraged to apply.
This opportunity is part of an early selection process. A promotional poster is attached to this shipment. Please share this opportunity through your youth networks and other relevant organizations. Note that this position is available for young people who will be between 18 and 29 years old by October 1, 2024. The deadline to submit your application is April 26, 2024.
