Overview

The Students on Ice Foundation is excited to partner with National Geographic’s Pristine Seas initiative on an exciting Blue Futures Pathways Expedition. This expedition offers a unique experiential opportunity for a small group of youth to learn alongside and participate in a Pristine Seas research expedition and documentary film aboard the icebreaker Polar Prince in Hudson Bay and James Bay. The expedition will focus on the success of the ongoing, Indigenous-led efforts to establish numerous marine conservation areas throughout the Canadian Arctic, and the data collected will be used to help develop scientific papers on the biodiversity and ecosystems of James and Hudson’s Bay.
